They&#8217;re pretty basic, to be honest, but I love them because the book itself is so over the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A collection of black colored fish from Louis Renard&#8217;s 1754 book of fish and sea life from the Indian Ocean, <em>Poissons, ecrevisses et crabes, de diverses couleurs et figures extraordinaires, que l&#8217;on trouve autour des isles Moluques et sur les c\u00f4tes des terres Australes: peints d&#8217;apr\u00e8s nature<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The images used in this pattern are taken from the copy at Harvard&#8217;s Museum of Comparative Zoology, which has been digitized and placed in the public domain at the Biodiversity Heritage Library.
