I’m very proud of this collection I edited on New Directions in Renaissance Drama and Performance Studies. Palgrave published it in 2010 and then forgot to do any promotion of it, and book reviews of it haven’t started appearing yet are only slowly appearing (the one in Shakespeare Survey is glowing!). But you should read it. And you should get your library to buy it, so that others can read it.
My introduction to the volume will give you a good sense of what is at stake in thinking about performance and Renaissance drama and what arguments are being made by the essays in the volume. In fact, you can go ahead and read the introduction and look at the table of contents right now and maybe share it with your librarian and colleagues.
